LANCO is an American country music band formed in 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of Brandon Lancaster (lead vocals and guitar), Chandler Baldwin (bass), Jared Hampton (keyboard), Tripp Howell (drums), and Steve Scheller (guitar). They first gained attention with their debut single "Greatest Love Story" in 2016, which became a massive hit on the country charts, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The band's debut album, Hallelujah Nights, was released in 2018 and showcased their signature blend of country, pop, and rock influences. Their sound is defined by catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a modern twist on traditional country music.
Known for their energetic live performances and relatable songwriting, LANCO has quickly become a favorite in the country music scene. With themes of love, longing, and the ups and downs of life, the band has built a loyal fanbase. Their follow-up EP, Honky-Tonk Hippies, was released in 2020, further solidifying their reputation as a fresh, dynamic force in country music. March brings Mozart, as your RSO presents the unique Piano Concerto No. 7 in F Major, K.242, known as the “Triple Concerto”. This concerto uses three Steinways and features elegant interplay between three solo pianists and the orchestra. The concert will also feature the premiere of David Dzubay’s mountain-inspired Ridgeline, evoking dramatic natural landscapes through vivid orchestral textures and contemporary harmonic language. Wagner’s Prelude to Act III of Lohengrin bursts with triumphant energy and majestic brass. Shostakovich’s great Symphony No. 5 is a powerful human testimony, a deeply personal musical response to living as an artist under Stalin, a great showpiece for the RSO.
