SVB’s Nutcracker features original choreography by artistic director Pedro Szalay, and performances by company members of Southwest Virginia Ballet, as well as numerous guests. NEW this year- SVB’s mainstage productions of The Nutcracker and Romeo & Juliet will feature the debut of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Orchestra, a full professional and pre-professional orchestra who will provide live music for both productions.

Fresh off his massive sold out 52-city Boujee On A Budget Tour, comedian and social media sensation Matt Mathews is keeping the momentum going with 20 newly added shows set for 2025.
Produced by Live Nation, the new leg kicks off September 12 and include stops in Memphis, Charleston, Detroit, and more. Known for his relatability and situational humor, Matt’s stand-up draws from his life on a farm, his career as a boudoir photographer, relationships, and more.
In just a few years, Matt has skyrocketed online with his hilariously raw posts and viral stand-up clips, amassing over 11 million followers across Instagram and TikTok. His debut headlining tour, When That Thang Get Ta Thang’n, sold out 100 shows and moved 150,000 tickets nationwide.
Recently, Matt revealed a new side of himself with his debut country singles, “Joke’s on Me” and “What A War,” now streaming everywhere. Co-written with Trent Dabbs and produced by Stanton Edward (Jewel, Jessica Simpson), the tracks explore love, heartbreak, and vulnerability—showcasing Matt’s emotional depth and songwriting talent beyond comedy.
Adding to his growing list of achievements, Mathews’ comedy special When That Thang Get Ta’ Thangin is now available on YouTube and digital platforms. The Randy Travis: More Life Tour features the legendary country singer and his co-star in The Price, James Dupré. The Country Music Hall of Fame member’s long-time touring band, consisting of Steve Hinson, David Johnson, Lance Dary, Bill Cook, Joe Van Dyke and Herb Shucher along with longtime tour manager Jeff Davis will rejoin “Hoss,” as they affectionately call Travis, on the road for the first time since right before his stroke in 2013.
The show will consist of Dupré and the band performing all 16 of his iconic number ones including “On The Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen” and “Three Wooden Crosses.” Randy Travis will make a special appearance and very much be a part of the show. A limited number of VIP tickets are available that include a premium seat in the first two rows, a show specific autographed 11x17 poster, and a meet and greet with the country icon, himself.
“We are incredibly excited to be back on the road and give Randy’s fans a chance to hear his music live again, and who better to sing his many hits than James Dupré?” said Mary and Randy Travis. Travis recently released Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith and Braving the Storms of Life which has outpaced projections and has been featured on TODAY, the 700 Club, People Magazine, Billboard and more.
